Mr. Hutson advocates for private property rights representing property owners in eminent domain settings as well as assisting landowners and developers in the real estate development process including land use and comprehensive planning, concurrency, zoning matters, and development agreements. His experience in both eminent domain and practical real estate development provide a unique perspective in eminent domain cases featuring land use/zoning, development and highest and best use issues. Likewise, his experience in eminent domain, including the successful litigation of inverse condemnation cases against government entities, lends credibility to his real estate development practice.  With respect to eminent domain, Mr. Hutson represents property and business owners only, never the condemning authority. He has helped achieve excellent results for his clients in litigation against the FDOT, CFX, NextEra Energy (Parent Corp. of Sabal Trail, FPL, Gulf Power, etc.), and local government agencies, among others, in both state and federal courts. Prior to attending law school Mr. Hutson was a part of one of the largest locally owned private development companies in Northeast Florida.
